Welcome to CASTELO. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

CASTELO provides a scenario-based leadership development platform (“Service”). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use CASTELO. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are using CASTELO on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at hello@castelo.app if you suspect unauthorized access

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract scenario content in bulk
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to interact with the Service in a way that places unreasonable load on our systems
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission
• Impersonate any person or entity

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Free Plan

The Free plan is available at no charge, subject to usage limits described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify Free plan limits with reasonable notice.

Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Free Trial

We may offer a free trial of paid features. At the end of the trial, your account will automatically convert to the Free plan unless you have added a payment method and explicitly subscribed.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods, except where required by applicable law.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will apply to your next billing cycle after the notice period.

5. Intellectual Property

All scenario content, AI coaching systems, design elements, and platform features are owned by CASTELO and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Your scenario responses and coaching conversations remain your data. We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the Service.

6. AI-Generated Content

CASTELO uses AI to generate scenarios and coaching feedback. This content is for educational and developmental purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice — including legal, psychological, medical, or management consulting advice. You should exercise your own judgment when applying insights from the platform to real-world situations.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CASTELO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CASTELO and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Delaware.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
